Challenge
Teams like HR, marketing, or back office often deal with routine work that can be automated or streamlined with AI, without having to write a single line of code.
If teams don't know what options they have, they won't come up with ideas to improve their work.
Goal
Our goal was to show teams without development experience what possibilities AI and automation offer. With the right tools at hand, they can simplify routine work, speed up common tasks - and even build their own application.
Through practical demonstrations, they could immediately try out how to do it - and most importantly, understand where it makes sense in their own work.
Our Solution
During a half-day training, we helped representatives from the HR, marketing, and back office teams:
Consolidated their knowledge of how AI works.
We reflected on security risks and presented them to participants.
We unified the idea of what AI can be used for and when classic automation is sufficient.
We practiced design thinking with AI and prepared an application brief.
We went through five tools that allow even non-developers to build an application. (Lovable, Vercel, GitHub, Make, Airtable)
With these tools, we created the designed application. At Applifting, we specifically worked on an app where users can record weather in the office. Each participant took home their own version.
We evaluated our outputs and shared ideas on how to use the acquired knowledge in practice.

Results
The training helped expand AI competencies beyond IT. Participants didn't just take away knowledge, but mainly the desire to actually use the tools for their work and look for new ways to change their processes.
They know they can handle many things themselves - without developers and without waiting for IT.
They see that building a simple application or automation is not unachievable, but something they can really do themselves. And because of this, they come up with their own ideas for improvement.
This completely changes the way companies operate - and at the same time frees up employees' hands.
AI spreads throughout the company quickly and naturally. And that's exactly what you need if you don't want your digitalization to remain just on paper.
