Applied AI Engineer

We're looking for a developer who enjoys both code and working with people and wants to build AI into real products and processes. Our AI solutions run at Heureka (100+ people), Česká spořitelna, and Apify. One day you're scoping a use case on a client call, the next you're shipping an MCP server or an agentic workflow to production. Do you work with LLMs every day, or do you want to pick it up fast? Then you're exactly who we're looking for. You'll fit in as a mid-level engineer, but a sharp junior with real projects is welcome too.

What will your job be

You'll help companies put AI into practice, so their people actually work with it and get more efficient. You'll analyze processes, design solutions, and ship them to production, from custom MCP servers through agentic workflows to integrations and automations. Thanks to you, clients move forward in digitalization and gain an edge.

• Shipping AI solutions to production: You build agentic workflows, RAG pipelines, LLM integrations, and custom MCP servers, from concept to production, not prototypes that gather dust.
• AI adoption at clients: You help deploy AI tools and practices into developers' daily work. Our adoption runs at companies like Heureka (100+ people), Česká spořitelna, and Apify.
• Prompt and context engineering: You tune how to talk to models so they return a usable result.
• Process automation: You design and build automations, most often in n8n.
• Sharing know-how: You'll join workshops, training, and our internal AI community and help maintain our knowledge base.

What you should know

• Hands-on work with LLMs (OpenAI, Gemini, Claude) and AI dev tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot).
• Building software: working with git, APIs, and automation.
• TypeScript or Python: you've shipped a real project, ideally in Node.js, NestJS, or Next.js.
• Overlap into the frontend, ideally full-stack or eager to grow into it.
• Prompt and context engineering.
• RAG and working with data: retrieval, chunking strategies, and vector databases.
• Evaluation and observability: eval frameworks and tools like Langfuse or MLflow, so you know the solution actually works.
• Basics of data structures and SQL.
• An overview of the AI ecosystem: LLMs, agentic systems, MCP servers, no/low-code tools.
• An appetite to follow where AI is heading.
• Experience with CI/CD and agile work.
• Over time, a willingness to share know-how and present to clients at training and workshops.
• English at least at B2 level.
• Based in Prague: 3–4 days a week you're with us at the office in Prague or at the client (usually Prague too), with the rest of your time flexible. This role isn't fully remote.

Reward offered
